Duplex Route for Kampen storage and transfer site

November 2011 – In early November, the new site for the storage and transfer of motor fuels went into operation in the Zuiderzee Harbour in Kampen. Verzinkerij Kampen hot-dip galvanised the steel structure and the emergency stairs for the site. The steel plates in various buildings were treated with the Duplex Route: they were first hot-dip galvanised by Verzinkerij Heerhugowaard and then powder coated by Poedercoating Heerhugowaard.

Salland Olie is one of the largest suppliers of high-grade fuel and lubricants in the east of the Netherlands and it commissioned its new storage and transfer site in Kampen in early November. The motor fuel distribution activities of Salland Oil have increased rapidly (more than 20,000 m3). This new site in Kampen will allow the company to bring in the motor fuels on the IJssel river, to store them on the site and then to take them in tankers to their final destination, usually petrol stations.

The steel structure and the emergency stairs were delivered and assembled by Companjen Constructies from Wezep. This company also delivered and assembled the steel plates for the loading station, the pump casing, the unloading platform and the sprinkler building. Verzinkerij Kampen hot-dip galvanised the steel structure and the emergency stairs. The plates went through the Duplex Route: they were first hot-dip galvanised by Verzinkerij Heerhugowaard and then powder coated in grey by Poedercoating Heerhugowaard.
